That’s the thing, though, about the death of any relationship — romantic or platonic — the unresolved issues… In the end, “goodbye”, as well, isn’t a resolution.

Didn’t Adele sing it best in Don’t You Remember? “When was the last time you thought of me?
Or have you completely erased me from your memory?
I often think about where I went wrong,
The more I do, the less I know”

But I guess that’s just another lesson in the war of growing up… Another lost battle. Another casualty. We’ll all be alright, in the end. The real effort lies in letting go without hurting them more, right?
