What is Wrong with the British Upper Class?
They seem to think the virus won’t affect them
Today is April 19 and we learnt that Boris Johnson missed FIVE Cobra meetings on covid-19, he only attended his first one on March 2. The revelation sent shockwaves through the entire country and calls for his resignation are getting louder.
This behaviour from the PM falls into a long line of shocking reactions from the Upper class. It is thus important to recap what they did wrong and how they put millions in danger.
On February 3: Boris Johnson said in a speech that the UK will “stand alone against this worldwide lockdown”. He acted as if it was all a game and Britain will win, one wonders what there is to win!
On February 28: Zara Tindall, Princess Anne’s daughter came back from a ski holiday in Italy and refused to self isolate according to Hello magazine. At that time, Italy was under full lockdown and anyone coming from there was advised to stay indoors for at least two weeks. Did Zara think she was too important to follow the guidelines? Appalling behaviour!
On March 3: Prince William made a joke while visiting a hospital in Ireland, he said: “I bet everyone is like…I got the corona virus, I am dying… No you are not, you just have a cough”.That joke was made while many people had already lost their lives in the UK so it was not a laughing matter!
On March 10, Cheltenham festival: More than 200 oo0 people were in attendance, Zara Tindall was among them. Many people were shocked to see the festival was not cancelled. A month later, the NHS trust which runs Cheltenham hospital is reporting the highest number of deaths in the South West. Furthermore, Andrew Parker Bowles said that he got the virus at the races. The question is, was it all worth it?
On March 15: “The Queen put on a defiant display as she attended Sunday church service alone in Windsor. Her majesty opted for a glamorous green ensemble”. (Daily Mail). A 93 year old lady is going against the government recommendations to stay home and she is celebrated for it!
On March 21: Prince Charles fell ill while being at his Highgrove estate. The following day he decided to self isolate in his Scottish retreat. Why did he feel the need to travel to Scotland?
On March 23: The UK has officially started the lockdown!
On March 25: The Coronavirus Act is in full effect. It is an Act of Parliament that grants the government emergency powers to handle the pandemic.
On March 26: Boris Johnson announced he has the virus.
Due to the irresponsible behaviour of the Tories and the Upper Class (same difference) many have lost their lives. One predicts the end of the monarchy and the Tories sooner rather than later!
