We’ve all experienced this terrible Syndrome at some point in our life.
This is the moment where you feel inspired and motivated to start something new. You know, the thing you plan to do daily and talk about it to everyone because you’re proud of what you’re about to do!
It is when you want to start learning how to code, speak a new language, play an instrument, write daily, but give up after 2 weeks.
I’ve experienced it so many times and it’s something very dangerous!
Why? Because we are not disciplined enough to keep going when things start to get difficult.
In the beginning, we’re so excited by the idea of becoming a top 1% in the world. We imagine ourselves being famous and talented. We see how the future would be as soon as we will become masters.
But these are also part of the 2 weeks Syndrome. It’s called dreaming.
The truth is that most people will give up because they’re not hungry enough, they don’t really want to succeed and they’re not patient or disciplined enough.
I’ve experienced this Syndrome many times in my life, but I’ve also experienced the opposite of it. The moment where you mentally decide to keep going to pursue your goals.
It’s really difficult but when you don’t let you decide and push yourself to do it no matter what, well, you do it.
The 2 weeks Syndrome is terrible because it stops so many people before they can even see the beauty of self-discipline and true achievement.
But it’s also very helpful since it helps the people who are fighting to succeed.
I love the 2 weeks Syndrome because it gives a chance to the people who want it bad enough to work more than everybody else.
It rewards the people who deserve it.
Life will always give you what you want. The problem is that you need to deserve what you want. And since you’re not willing to do what it takes to achieve your goals and dreams, life doesn’t give it to you.
If you succeed to go through this Syndrome and keep going, then chances are you’ll get what you want because it already shows the type of person you are. A winner.
And the big truth is that winners always win.
Most people have their mouth way ahead of their actions, and the 2 weeks Syndrome finds these wannabes and punch them in the face.
It’s fine to have this Syndrome, it’s human to always dream and imagine how cool our life would be.
But make sure to also follow your words with actions because you may be able to trick 99% of people, but you cannot trick the 1%.
Who are you? A dreamer or an achiever? You decide.
