Apparently, you are unaware of the fact that states have open borders and interstate highways…

What hysterical claim? That the Mulford Act was designed to disarm Black People who were opposed to Police Brutality? I posted a Wikipedia article which upholds my claim.

Named after Republican assemblyman Don Mulford, the bill was crafted in response to members of the Black Panther Party who were conducting armed patrols of Oakland neighborhoods while they were conducting what would later be termed copwatching.[1]

Oh, and the Democrats were instrumental in passing it.

it passed both Assembly (controlled by Democrats 42:38) and Senate (split 20:20) and was signed by Governor Ronald Reagan on July 28.

Here is another article.

Throughout the late 1960s, the militant black nationalist group used their understanding of the finer details of California’s gun laws to underscore their political statements about the subjugation of African-Americans. In 1967, 30 members of the Black Panthers protested on the steps of the California statehouse armed with .357 Magnums, 12-gauge shotguns and .45-caliber pistols and announced, “The time has come for black people to arm themselves.”
The display so frightened politicians — including California governor Ronald Reagan — that it helped to pass the Mulford Act, a state bill prohibiting the open carry of loaded firearms, along with an addendum prohibiting loaded firearms in the state Capitol. The 1967 bill took California down the path to having some of the strictest gun laws in America and helped jumpstart a surge of national gun control restrictions.

So, yeah, California’s gun laws are deeply racist.

And California still does not have the lowest Gun Crime, just lower than many States, per capita, although it does have the highest numbers of murders.

I showed stats for that too.

As to the affordable housing. That is not dogma. Dogma is a principle or set of principles laid down by an authority as incontrovertibly true, usually in reference to religious teachings.

I posted facts in the article.

The report shows California’s homeless population jumped nearly 14 percent from 2016 to 2017 — to a total of more than 134,00 people. It rose nearly 9 percent over the previous seven years.
That’s much different than the national picture. While the national homeless population ticked up about 1 percent in 2017, it remained 13 percent lower than in 2010, according to an NPR analysis following the report’s release.

So, no, it is not just a “city thing” it is a California thing. While other cities have affordable housing issues, California’s cities are most of the places which are spiraling out of control, despite their fine talk about meeting the needs of all the people.

Next, it is illegal in all States to give toddlers guns. That has nothing to do with gun control, that has to do with poor parenting. It is the same as a toddler getting their hands on a book of matches. Or are you calling for match control too?

And some of those cases are Police, which gun control does not restrict.

Finally you mention OECD countries which are only 34 nations. This ignore countries like Mexico which have Gun Control laws far stricter than California’s, yet a much higher gun violence rate.

And the country does not have open borders…

I am not cherrypicking facts, which is why I admit that CA was not the highest per capita, just the highest number of gun related deaths. As I said, we need to look at the good and the bad.
