Moral Relativism
Likely our biggest problem today
Moral relativism is the view that moral judgments are true or false only relative to some particular standpoint (for instance, that of a culture or a historical period) and that no standpoint is uniquely privileged over all others.
We use this idea and concept ALL the time, like all of us all the time. We just tell ourselves and decide that what we do or don’t do is good or bad based on our reference point. This is a valid argument practically always, especially since we can just throw out the idea that, “oh yeah well it’s all relative” depending on what you are looking at.
Sure this makes everyone feel good, but it doesn’t take into account whether or not something is actually true.
The only relative point we should consider with our actions is the anchor point of truth.
