People Respect What You Inspect

I love this idea. It’s so simple and so clear. If you want someone to respect the work they are doing whether or not it is directly for you or your customers, simple inspect it.

If you know you are going to be checked on the work you are doing, then you are far far more likely to do a good job at that assignment or task.

I always knew as a kid if I didn’t do my chores well enough I’d likely have to go redo them, why should it be any different for the professional world?

Inspect it and they’ll respect it.
