While we have outlined some of the best airdrops to watch out for in 2022 in part 1 of this article, you might be curious about what airdrops may be announced and ready to invest in 2023. Below are 4 projects you should interact with for a chance to potentially gain rewards. These are:

SUI NETWORK

SUI Network is a layer 1 permissionless blockchain network designed from the ground by Mysten Labs to enable developers and creators to build experiences that cater to the next billion users in web3. Sui is horizontally scalable, provides instant finality, and has low fees. SUI is a platform to build rich and dynamic on-chain assets from gaming to finance. The blockchain is co-founded by Evan Cheng, Adeniyi Abiodun, Sam Blackshear, George Danezis, and Kostas Chalkias.

Interestingly, the Layer 1 blockchain SUI is heavily funded and backed by Coinbase Ventures, Binance Labs, Apollo, Circle, and many others Capitalist haven raised $300 million in Series B funding.

SUI already has an interesting ecosystem. Currently, they have projects ranging from infrastructure to socialFi. The chain is expected to launch mainnet in early 2023 and some of the features that set them apart include;

  • Horizontal Scaling: There are no upper boundaries. Thus, they can meet demand whilst offering low transaction costs.
  • Parallel Execution of Transactions: This eliminates bottlenecks that standard blockchains have by validating transactions individually. This gives low latency. This is the time between submitting and confirming a transaction.

SUI has already released the tokenomics of its native token $SUI and most likely the release of the SUI token will be in sync with the launch of their mainnet. Some purposes for the token include;

  • Paying transaction fees and other operations.
  • SUI being a PoS chain, you can stake the token.
  • It’s an asset on the platform with the same features as money (a store of value or a medium of exchange).
  • It allows governance by granting voting rights.

Since the Network is still in testnet phase and launch is imminent, early users who interact with the network may be eligible for potential airdrop with the release of their token. To do this, the first step is to download and create a SUI wallet.

You can request SUI tokens from their discord faucet or via the app. With the devnet tokens, you are able to perform transactions such as “mint an NFT”. Which you can find in the app section in the SUI extension.

SHARDEUM

Shardeum is an EVM-based smart contract network that scales linearly with low gas fees. Shardeum is the world’s first EVM-based L1 which uses sharding to increase TPS with the addition of every new node. The network aims to onboard billions of daily users and numerous dApps to web 3 in the future. It claims to be the first one to solve the blockchain trilemma.

Looking at the tokenomics and roadmap of Shardeum, 5% of the total supply of the Shardeum token $SHM has been confirmed for airdrop. In order to qualify or become potential for this, these are some of the ways to interact with the ecosystem and dApps for possible airdrop;

Swap/Add liquidity

Create NFT/Sale and buy on the market place

Disperse

  • Disperse: Connect the wallet and enter multiple addresses, then send token to all in a single transaction.

Shardeum Name Service:

It is advisable to repeat this once in a while as we wait for Shardeum to launch mainnet.

CERAMIC NETWORK

The Ceramic network is a protocol for decentralized data management. It enables applications to manage content, identity and agreements in a shared, global context called DAG (Directed Acyclic Graph). It is a Decentralised Identity Protocol built on Ethereum that eases the process of application building using this data. They recently raised $30 million in a Series A funding round with Animoca Brands, Coinbase, ConsenSys and Protocol Labs as lead investors. The protocol is considering a launch of their Ceramic 2.0 and introducing a blockchain powered by a native token. The best way to position yourself for this incentive is to get involved with projects built on the Ceramic protocol. Some of them include;

-Link (by cyber connect): Uses ceramic streams to store their content

-Minds: A web 3 social network that uses ceramic to store profile data

-Convo: A protocol that separates social data from applications by creating a unified conversation layer, linking data to the user’s decentralized identity.

-Krebit_id: An open identify verification protocol, DAO, and marketplace for web 3 credentials (Currently on testnet)

Interacting with these projects increases your chance to qualify for a potential Ceramic network airdrop. You can find more protocols + a tutorial on how to interact with the Ceramic network in the thread below

ZETACHAIN

ZetaChain is a public blockchain that enables omnichain, generic smart contracts, and messaging between any blockchain. Its aim is to solve the problems of “cross-chain” and “multi-chain” and pave the way to a truly fluid multi-chain crypto Ecosystem. ZetaChain facilitates cross-chain and cross-layer value transfer, message delivery, and smart contract calls, thus enabling for the first time Omnichain dApps which can leverage liquidity on multiple connected networks. ZetaChain has announced the public launch of ZetaLabs and the first native asset swap on testnet. ZetaChain’s coin will be used to pay gas fees at the core of cross-chain transfers, swaps, and security.

Follow the steps in this thread by Alphainsiders to get started with the ZetaChain incentivized testnet and start earning ZETA points which may be converted into $ZETA tokens after the mainnet launch.

Conclusion

The blockchain industry is growing rapidly, and that means there are more airdrops to take stock of. Whether you’re new to cryptocurrency, or you’re a pro, it’s best to be aware of what’s going on in the space around airdrops. Our previous article on this topic should get you started.
