F50 put on an amazing event about communities. They brought together investors, community experts and startups. They had thoughtful panels and speakers discussing how to grow and build communities. David Cao gave two pieces of advice to start up that were going to take the stage to pitch for the winning prize.

  1. Slow down. Take a breath. Remember to speak thoughtfully. Often times, people rush to say everything on their mind and the people listening can’t take it all in.
  2. People remember you and the story. There is not alot of time on the stage or at pitch contest. Make the time memorable. You will not be able to tell your entire story. Give enough of your story to make people remember it and want them want to come and ask you about your company.
