Reactions: Not everything in life is Likable
Geoff Teehan

I truly enjoyed reading about the process of how the Facebook team arrived at the more nuanced Reactions that we’re finally getting to experience today. The one user issue it didn’t delve into though is reacting to shared articles and posts vs. an accompanying post, which oftentimes reflect disparate views. Users have long struggled with knowing how to delineate between the two (i.e. A news article about Trump’s rating, accompanied by a scathing commentary on the subject), and it seems like the new Reactions may make that exponentially more confusing.
