Majestic Falls in Iligan City

How to get there:

FOR GROUP more or less than of 8 people and above, it would be better for you to rent any private vehicle as your transportation.

E.g. With my group, we rented a jeepney for P3000 and divided it to our number. That was the only cost we had for the trip. Aside on having a cheap trip, it was also fun with friends and you can also ask your driver at times to stop whenever you want to take good pictures on your way to the waterfalls.

FOR SOLO, taking bus is your perfect choice.

From Cagayan de Oro to any point of the city, you should take a jeepney or tricycle going to Agora Bus Terminal, then proceed to bus station that is heading to Iligan City.

DODIONGAN FALLS

Barinaut of Brgy. San Roque is the nearest entry point to Dodiongan Falls from the city proper. Then take a motorbike “habal-habal” to guide you to the way going to that falls.

You will then be drop to where there live some locals.

10–20 minutes of trek is on your way to the waterfalls.

Kids from the locals will guide you, coins or foods will do as a friendly tip.

For TINAGO FALLS

Since it is very known from any of the other falls, you will surely not hassle yourself in finding this by asking your driver to drive you “crossing to Tinago Falls”.

This crossing from the highway has a market from the side. From this point you can take motorbike and ask to drive you to Tinago Falls.

Before you finally reach the falls, you will see first the locals who will offer you a guide — any amount will do(but you can refuse as well if you know the way by following the other visitor of the falls).

They also offer you a life vest for rent(25php each). You will pay it from the entrance and you will get it when you are already at the falls. It is a first come, first serve though.

I would suggest, either you are expert in swimming or not it is safer for everyone to take the life vest with you since the water is cold and you might not know when you will have cramps in the water.
