Asghar Bukhari: An Uppity Muslim In A White Man’s World
Asghar Bukhari

I have a problem with Islam. It has nothing to do with race, and everything to do with ideas. There is not a single thing wrong with disliking Islam, or any religion or any ism or ideaology. Implying that there is just weak. Trying to play the victim all the time is ridiculous. And to talk about European colonization while ignoring Arab colonization is a bit rich. Islam, itself, is far more than a religion. It is also a power system, and often an oppressive one at that. Furthermore, when anyone following a religion believes that their route is morally superior to those around them, that is a supremacy all in it’s own. You are deriding one form of supremacy while clinging to another.
