It’s sad when right-wing trolls start invading Medium.
Sandra Wade

I am not sure if those people are serious or trolls, in any case, the wisest thing to do as an educator is to disengage once you encounter malice or mud-slinging.

I am always open to conversations, yet my day only has 24h, and if I realize that my time is wasted on a particular discussion, I rather tend to my research or do something else productive. There is no limit on how much time one can waste in arguing and I’ve regretted way too often when I chased down that particular rabbit hole.

This does not mean we should not try, but if the discussion partner does not address at all any of our arguments, spews logical fallacies like a geysir and seems more compative than intellectually honest, there is really no point.
