Great points. I do think this movie differs in that Nancy Meyers tried to make it empowering, but apparently, not hard enough.
By the way, the character who’s treated the worst is Becky, who’s supposedly capable and educated and yet portrayed as whiny and easy to panic (and of course Jules is quicker to trust the men over her.)
