What do you get when you mix god tier of performance, looks, and badassery. You get the Boss 429.

The Boss 429 is one of the most famous, rarest, and badass muscle cars ever built. It was made to compete with the HEMI built by Chrysler. Since NASCAR requires any engine to be used in atleast 500 sold vehicles.

So Ford built the 385, but the massive engine wouldn’t fit inside the Mustangs made for sale, so Ford decided to rope in Kar Kraft to modify the existing 428 Cobra Jet Mach 1 Mustang, which resulted in one of the most badass and sick muscle cars ever built.

I am a 1970 Charger R/T guy myself, but this car makes me wanna shift my alliance.

I mean, look at this, why wouldn’t you switch alliances. This, with the 1970 Charger R/T, will be proper garage goals.

Kraft revamped the whole car extensively, including widening shock towers and the rear fenders to fit this engine. A manually controlled hood scoop was added; isn’t it the coolest thing ever!!! It was pushing 375Hp and 450lb-ft of torque on paper, but in reality, it made close to 500hp.

This was done to legal stuff and sky-high insurance costs. Ford, you finally did something nice apart from making badass muscle cars.

To show how badass and perfect these cars were, Ford did an engraving — thingy in the door on the driver’s side — “KK,” which stood for Karl Kraft, KK#1201 was the first Boss 429, and KK#2558 was the last one
