Why You Should Catch the Sunrise

For me, watching the Moon and the Sun, trade places, or vice versa, is such a great reminder of so many things. I think more than anything, it helps me put things into perspective. Like you, I’ve got my own bullshit in my life to deal with.

It can really get to me if I let it.

Sitting here looking around, I try to make sense of everything, but I can’t — to think that for some reason I’m here, you’re here, we’re all here together on this planet together, what a miracle, gift, whatever you want to call it — it’s beyond comprehension.

Out here, this time of day, as well as the opposite hours from now, when the moon returns to relieve the sun of its duties, troubles and problems seem a lot smaller.

I’m reminded of how very much I do have, and above all else, there is so much beauty in the world.

There is so much to be grateful for. Let’s not ever forget that.

For me, the trading places of the sun and moon twice daily is the perfect reminder.
