Korean BBQ Beef Bulgogi Bowls

Bring the flavors of Korean barbecue right to your home with these delicious Bulgogi Bowls. Tender, marinated beef is grilled to perfection and served over a bed of fluffy rice with an array of fresh, crunchy toppings. It’s a complete, flavor-packed meal in a bowl!

Ingredients:

  • 1 lb flank steak, thinly sliced against the grain
  • 1/2 cup soy sauce
  • 1/4 cup brown sugar
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 2 tsp sesame oil
  • 1 tsp grated ginger
  • 1/2 tsp black pepper
  • 2 cups cooked white or brown rice
  • 1 cup shredded carrots
  • 1 cup thinly sliced cucumber
  • 1/2 cup thinly sliced green onions
  • 2 tbsp toasted sesame seeds
  • Gochujang or sriracha, for serving (optional)

Instructions:

  1. In a large resealable bag or bowl, combine the soy sauce, brown sugar, garlic, sesame oil, ginger, and black pepper. Add the sliced flank steak and toss to coat. Marinate for at least 30 minutes, up to 8 hours.
  2. Preheat grill or grill pan to medium-high heat. Grill the marinated beef for 2–3 minutes per side, until cooked through.
  3. Divide the cooked rice between 4 bowls. Top each with the grilled bulgogi beef, shredded carrots, sliced cucumbers, green onions, and toasted sesame seeds.
  4. Serve the Korean BBQ beef bulgogi bowls with gochujang or sriracha on the side, if desired. Enjoy!
