Smile pt. 1&2

You see her beauty,

She smiles.

He looks at me,

I smile.

Her golden hair and eyes like the sea.

I hope he cannot see.

You see her beauty,

She smiles.

He looks at me,

I smile.

You wonder “does she smile for me?”

I hide the broken me.

You see her beauty,

She smiles.

He looks at me,

I smile.

The curve of her neck, so soft.

Can he see through my mask?

You see her beauty,

She smiles.

He looks at me,

I smile.

The scent of her perfume, aloft.

Doing so is such a task.

You see her beauty,

She smiles.

He looks at me,

I smile.

Her skin so ivory, smooth.

I wish he’d look away.

You see her beauty,

She smiles.

He looks at me,

I smile.

Her gaze is one to soothe.

I do this every day.

You see her beauty,

She smiles.

He looks at me,

I smile.

What a wonder she must be!

I’m drowning in my sorrow.

You see her beauty,

She smiles.

He looks at me,

He smiles.

“Does she smile for me?”

Perhaps, there’s a tomorrow.
