What did you do this past week?

I coordinated with my partner this past week to work on project four. We’ve worked at a consistent 2 hours per day. An organization that I am a part of at the University of Texas at Austin also had a few socials this past week so I tried following some recipes and did more cooking than I usually do.

What’s in your way?

The thing in my way this week was just the lack of time to sit down and concentrate on working on the project. I’m an officer of an organization at the University of Texas at Austin this year, and although my position doesn’t require that much work, officers are encouraged to attend all of the events. Thus, a lot of my time has been dedicated to going to volunteering, social, and academic events held by the organization. We also have a dance team, which I am a part of.

What will you do next week?

My project partner and I are hopefully going to finish project four soon. We still need to make our solution account for edge cases, and write unit and acceptance tests. I also have a test on Tuesday for my other computer science class so I will be studying for that in addition to working on this project.

What was your experience of the vector implementation? (this question will vary, week to week)

It was very helpful to write the different constructors within the vector class. The nuances of the different constructors is difficult to grasp by just reading about it or being lectured to about it. As a result, implementing the different constructors gave me a better understanding of what happens when we use different constructors and when the different constructors are called.

What’s your pick-of-the-week or tip-of-the-week?

I would suggest my peers to continue to use some form of organization for managing their time. Especially if you have a lot of small tasks, it is difficult to keep track of. I have forgotten to do many small assignments and setting up reminders and alarms has helped a lot.
