1. Eye Bag Type Dark Circles: They are caused by sagging eye bags due to aging. Some people have well-developed fat pads, and by the age of 20, prominent bulges under the eyelids can result in dark circles. Additionally, staying up late, fatigue, excessive crying, excessive intake of salt and water can also cause temporary eye bags, which may eventually become permanent.

2. Wrinkle Type Dark Circles: They can be caused by sun exposure, aging, or having expressive facial expressions. Habitual blinking can also contribute to dark circles. Under conditions of poor eyelid hydration, the lower eyelids can develop wrinkles due to insufficient support, making dark circles more prominent.

3. Pigmentation Type Dark Circles: Pigmentation type dark circles may be due to inherent skin pigmentation, often with a family history. Alternatively, post-inflammatory hyperpigmentation, drug eruptions, sun exposure, improper skincare, and other factors can also lead to the formation of dark circles.

4. Vascular Type Dark Circles: Generally, poor blood circulation around the eyes is related to an individual’s constitution. Factors such as staying up late and excessive fatigue, hormonal changes during menstrual periods or late pregnancy, and blood stasis can contribute to dark circles. The blood circulation around the nose and eyes is interconnected, so nasal conditions can also worsen dark circles.
