This is the case in every technical department of various industries, the automotive industry, and esports as well.
What’s worse is that the women who start out in more roles in the antithesis of these job titles are pushed either into these types of roles you describe, or out of the industry entirely.
While it’s cool to see women in the lead of diversity or speaking out for women, especially women of color, the main problem I see in getting more women, again, especially women of color, into these roles is that the only path they see is out with the role models we have been marketed.
