What a joy reading about your younger years at Luxton. Your descriptions of the classroom immediately had me thinking about my year in kindergarten. The upright piano that Mrs. Mathews played. I was so mesmerized and so in awe of her talent that I knew then and there I wanted to play the piano just like Mrs. Mathews. There was the circle we all had to stand around as she played Peter Gunn and we walked around that circle. I remember having to bring painting smocks and how excited I was when we had the opportunity to paint at the easel. Then we brought our towels and had nap time. Jeeze sometimes I wish it could be that easy during the day to just throw a towel down on the floor and just chill for a half hour or so? Sorry, I digress and blather on. Thank you for giving me pause in my morning to reflect on that sweet time. Thank you for sharing your thoughts, poems, life experiences with us. Looking forward to more….
