One of the most visited cities of the world, Dubai is known for its lavish lifestyle, a fine blend of old and modern Islamic architecture, amazingly huge and extravagant shopping centers, traditional bazaars, beautiful jewelry stores, boutiques, planned islands, delectable Arab cuisine, wildlife sanctuaries, exotic bird shows, some of the world’s biggest theme parks, golf clubs etc. Well, the list is still not exhaustive!

Sometimes I wonder God has been overgenerous to bestow such natural beauty upon this City of Gold! And the Arabs have conserved it pretty well also while giving it a magical touch of modernization. I have visited quite a few blissful places in Dubai and frankly, it’s just impossible to talk about all the tourist attractions in Dubai in a single article. However, I have managed to list down some of the most beautiful places in Dubai, which if you are a travel freak, you must visit.

Burj Khalifa

Even the sky is not the limit for this mega tall building icon! Standing at 2,722 ft., this centerpiece of Downtown Dubai, Burj Khalifa proclaims its status as the tallest artificial structure in the world. This 163-floored building houses the communication and broadcast center of the tower, the famous Armani Hotel, residential suites, corporate suites, two observatories, and many mechanical setups. The 124th floor serves as the world’s highest (1,483 ft.) outdoor observatory and hence is rightly called ‘At the Top’! You just can’t miss this 360-degree panoramic view of the city, desert, and ocean through Tellscope electronic telescope. Dubai — A Falcon’s Eye View is something that has been added recently to offer you a unique perspective to explore the city. If this is not enough, the Burj Khalifa SKY level (148th floor) features the highest observation deck in the world (1,821 ft.). A new exhibit in the form of an amazing interactive experience awaits you here. In addition to the breathtaking views of Dubai, this multimedia presentation, which talks about various aspects related to the interiors, floor plans, and overall architecture of the skyscraper, adds to your knowledge.

When I visited Burj Khalifa, I enjoyed every bit of my tour, thanks to ImOnHolidays.com. I would recommend buying Imonholidays’ Burj Khalifa Sky Tickets if you want a hassle-free trip.

Location: 1 Emaar Boulevard, Downtown Dubai
Timings: Sunday — Wednesday: 10.00 AM– 10.00 PM; Thursday — Saturday: 10.00 AM — midnight

Jumeirah Mosque

An immaculate piece of Islamic architecture and a testimony to the noble values of Islam, Jumeirah Mosque catches your attention at the outset. A stone-structure built in traditional Fatimid style, Jumeirah Mosque is an exact replica of Al-Azhar Mosque in Cairo. This is probably the only mosque in Dubai where non-Muslims are allowed to enter. Organized tours to the mosque are hosted by the Sheikh Mohammed Centre for Cultural Understanding (SMCCU). Women tourists must cover themselves before they enter.
Timings: 10.00 A.M. onwards (Tours on Saturday, Sunday, Tuesday, and Thursday)
Location: Jumeirah Road

Dubai Museum

If you are an art lover, Al Fahidi, the beautiful desert fort turned into Dubai Museum is waiting to amuse you. One of the historic sites in itself, this place showcases the archeological and historical legacy of Dubai. Massive construction of the fort, beautiful galleries, local antiquities, different kinds of artifacts, handcrafted weapons, musical instruments, depictions of desert life, and several life-size dioramas deserve your attention for sure. This is a wonderful attempt of presenting the emirate’s traditional lifestyle before the discovery of oil.
Timings: Saturday — Thursday: 8:30 AM — 8:30 PM; Friday — 2:30 PM — 8:30 PM
Location: Al Fahidi Fort, Al Fahidi Street, Opposite Grand Mosque

Palm Jumeirah

Your Dubai trip is just not complete if you do not visit this beautiful manmade archipelago. One of the planned palm-shaped islands (Palm Jebel Ali and Palm Deira being the other two), Palm Jumeirah has become an exciting tourist attraction in recent times. A number of grand hotels, beach resorts, and shopping malls make this place a perfect destination for you. I would recommend that you avail of a helicopter flight over this place. It’s an amazing experience!
Timings: 9.00 AM — 10.00 PM (Daily)
Location: Jumeirah coastal area of the Emirate of Dubai

Dubai Ice Rink

I love skating and hence Dubai Ice Rink was pretty much on the cards during my Dubai visit. This Olympic-size skating rink is on the ground floor of the famous Dubai Mall. The kind of excitement and fun it offers, along with an array of activities one can indulge in, make it a favorite leisure destination. Here you can skate, learn to skate if you can’t already, play ice-hockey, subscribe to their exciting birthday party packages and have fun galore…
Timings: Skating lessons: 4:45 PM — 5:30 PM; Disco session: 8.00 PM — 10.00 PM
Location: Ground Level, Doha Street, The Dubai Mall, Dubai, UAE

Dubai Aquarium in Dubai Mall

Dubai Aquarium and Underwater Zoo

Just ten minutes away from the Ice Rink, on the ground floor of The Dubai Mall, we have one of the largest suspended aquariums in the world. You will definitely enjoy witnessing this aquatic world of over 150 species, including over 300 Sharks and Rays. The underwater zoo experience offers an amazing 48 meter walk through the aquarium tunnels below the tank surface. If you want to add the adventure quotient to your trip, you can’t miss the glass-bottom boat rides, cage snorkeling, and the thrilling Shark dives here at the Dubai Aquarium and Underwater Zoo. Take my word guys… this is going to be a lifetime experience indeed!
Timings: Sunday — Wednesday: 10.00 AM — 11.00 PM; Thursday — Saturday: 10.00 AM — 12.00 midnight
Location: Ground Level, The Dubai Mall, Doha Street, Dubai, UAE

That’s not all! I haven’t covered even half of what Dubai offers! The following are a few more beautiful places which I have planned to visit during my next Dubai trip:
Dubai Desert Conservation Centre
Ferrari World
Ras Al Khor Wildlife Sanctuary
Al Mamzar Park
Miracle Garden
Dubai Dolphinarium
While in Dubai, I would suggest you to stay in Downtown Dubai as all major Dubai attractions are easily accessible from here, be it Burj Khalifa, be it The Dubai Mall, Dubai Fountain, beautiful art galleries, or be it all those regal hotels and royal restaurants you would definitely want to visit. You will get excellent transportation facilities from here.

I would come back with some more details after my next Dubai trip. I am sure; the information provided in this article will serve you as a good reference. I wish you a fun-filled, action packed Dubai visit!
