You Will Tell Them I’m Crazy

When people ask you about me, you will tell them I’m crazy.

That I feel too much, hold you too close, spread you too thin.

You will tell them I’m crazy.

When people ask you about me, you will tell them I’m emotional.

That I spew too often, swing too far, and cry too many tears.

You will tell them I’m crazy.

When people ask you about me, you will tell them I loved you.

That I gave you an ocean, but you only took a drop. That who I was, was never enough.

You will tell them I’m crazy.

When people ask you about me, you will regret every moment.

Every time we kissed, and every moan I made.

You will tell them I’m crazy.

When people ask you about me, you will tell them that I’m magnificent.

That even though I don’t make sense, I am still beautiful.

You will tell them I’m crazy.

When people ask you about me, you will tell them I was just “potential.”

That you loved me not for who I was, but who you wanted me to be.

You will tell them I’m crazy.

When people ask you about me, you will tell them I’m okay.

That I am unraveling at the seams, yet sewing my heart back together.

You will tell them I’m crazy.
