Black Panther : Issues #1–3
Thaddeus Howze

I too almost dropped Black Panther; I’m glad I didn’t. The world building of the first few issues paid off in the most recent one. T’Challa is learning hard lessons, but not fast enough. Surrounded by people who see him failing, and enemies who take advantage of his own mistakes, the last issue leaves him at his most vulnerable.

It’s different, and a better Black Panther than we’ve seen in years. And like a lot of very good series, it takes an investment of time to get it.

Make the effort.
