With no offence to your concern about girls not going the techie way I would like to highlight some points:

Rare girls wanting to enroll into engineering courses always enquired if there were other girls in the batch. I am sorry mam, I would disagree on this. I have seen a number of my friends studying mechanical engineering where they were the only one girl in the batch of about 60/70 boys.

Secondly with refernce to “She’d rather do dance/music/art this Summer : Girls on the threshold of teen-age felt this sudden urge to indulge in more ‘perceived girly’ pursuits”. Mam let them choose as per their opinions, taste and preferences and not for mere representation in the future techie force.
