Thanks for this interesting article. I only have one observation, but it’s a biggie: I think that disruptive technologies (and technology in general) have begun to take money and power away from the elites and redistribute them to a growing mass of consumers. Unfortunately, the “masses” usually only display emergent group-think behavior whose starting conditions are difficult to fathom. This makes it very difficult to predict if this decentralization of resources will be a force that destroys or improves people’s lives on balance. One thing is for sure though: it now takes more and more capital for so-called shadow entities to bend the government and the masses to their will.
