It's true that China wants to reduce its reliance on the US-led global order and create its own sphere of influence in Asia. That includes challenging US-led institutions like the World Bank and the International Monetary Fund, and promoting alternatives like the Asian Infrastructure Investment Bank. But if they go too much US will stop supply chains and China goes down fast.
