For the past few months, my main focus has been on increasing Amazon product sales and maximizing profit for our clients. I learned six important lessons along the way that anyone who wants to consistently drive sales should implement. Here are the six lessons in no particular order:

  1. Be ready to change your strategy at any time

Accept that you don’t have the perfect process, because if you do, you won’t need these suggestions. You should audit your procedures and look for flaws. Try to figure out what you’re doing wrong and write it down.

2. Make a list of the errors.

After you’ve completed your due diligence, make a list of everything you’re not doing correctly. No, this isn’t so you can stick the list up on your wall. This list will help you keep track of what you’ve fixed and what needs to be fixed.

3. Revise your text

The right content will bring in the right customers. You don’t want to attract customers who are only interested in complaining about your products and leaving negative reviews, lowering your product’s rating. Of course, your copy is extremely important in attracting the right customers to your product page. You can hire a competent copywriter to assist you with this, as it can be quite time-consuming and requires research and some extra effort.

4. Photography of the product

The truth is that good copy will bring the right buyers to your product page, but good photography will keep them there. After the keywords have done their job of bringing the product to the buyer’s attention, the buyer decides whether or not the product is appealing enough to click on. The buyer simply moves on to the next one that does this once your label or photography does not appeal to them.

5. Improve your Pay-Per-Click (PPC) performance.

Imagine competing in a market where 70% of the products that appear first on search results are sponsored. If you don’t play the game, how will you survive? The game is simple: set aside money for advertisements and stick to it. With the right PPC, you can get your products to the top of the page, and over time, you’ll need fewer ads to reach the right buyers.
