Listening to the world

Taipei underground.

I follow my morning routine, like many travelers, holding on to one brief moment of solitude before the day begins.

I put on my earphones and turn on the podcasts, taking a walk in people’s lyrics and words. There I stumble upon stories of our lives.

I reflect on our true thoughtful voices by leaving the sounds of the present place behind, as I listen to people from afar rather than the unsung heroes around me, although the two worlds sometimes joyfully meet.
