In the realm of entrepreneurship, navigating the intricate landscape of finances can often be a daunting task. However, for Charese Chambers, owner and founder of Financial Fancy CFO, it’s a challenge she embraces wholeheartedly. With over a decade of experience in financial management and a passion for empowering small business owners, Charese has become a beacon of guidance in the world of business and wealth.

Charese Chambers

At the core of Charese’s business philosophy lies the belief that financial literacy is the key to unlocking success for entrepreneurs. As a fractional CFO, she offers a unique blend of bookkeeping expertise and strategic thinking, helping her clients not only manage their day-to-day finances but also plan for long-term growth.

“I’m everyone’s secret weapon,” Charese explains. “Not only do I handle the day-to-day tasks of bookkeeping and taxes, but I also provide strategic guidance to help my clients achieve their goals.”

Charese’s journey into entrepreneurship was not one she initially envisioned for herself. Raised with aspirations of a career in banking, she found herself drawn to the world of accounting during her college years. It was during her time working for a tax firm that she discovered her true calling — using her financial expertise to make a difference in her community.

“I saw how many fees the firm was charging its clients, and I knew there had to be a better way,” Charese recalls. “That’s when I decided to strike out on my own and create Financial Fancy CFO, a place where clients could receive transparent and ethical financial services.”

Central to Charese’s approach is the idea of strategic thinking. She emphasizes the importance of not just crunching numbers, but also understanding the implications of those numbers for her clients’ businesses.

“Many entrepreneurs focus solely on short-term goals, like making six figures,” Charese notes. “But they forget to consider the bigger picture — like how much they’ll owe in taxes or what their financial projections look like three or five years down the line.”

To address this gap, Charese offers not only financial services but also business coaching. Through one-on-one sessions, she helps her clients develop a strategic roadmap for their businesses, ensuring they’re prepared for whatever challenges may come their way.

“I want my clients to understand that their business is their baby,” Charese says. “But I’m here to help them nurture and grow that baby into something truly remarkable.”

In addition to her client work, Charese is also passionate about sharing her knowledge with a wider audience. She hosts a podcast titled “Business After Dark”, where she discusses topics ranging from financial literacy to entrepreneurship tips. She also provides free resources on her website, including guides on reading profit and loss statements and pricing products and services.

Looking ahead, Charese has ambitious plans for the future. She’s currently working on a book and expanding her online academy, Track Those Coins, where she teaches entrepreneurs how to make money on demand.

“My goal is to empower as many entrepreneurs as possible to take control of their finances and achieve their dreams,” Charese says. “Whether it’s through my podcast, my book, or my academy, I want to provide the tools and resources they need to succeed.”

In a world where financial literacy is often overlooked, Charese Chambers stands out as a guiding light for entrepreneurs. Through her expertise, passion, and dedication, she’s helping countless small business owners navigate the complexities of finance and build a path to long-term success.

My Favorite takeaways from my time with Charese:

  1. Passion for Education: Charese is passionate about educating others, evident through her podcast and free resources aimed at empowering entrepreneurs.
  2. Discipline and Goal Setting: She demonstrates discipline and goal-setting by committing to a social media hiatus to focus on writing her book and achieving her objectives.
  3. Embracing Personal Time: Charese values personal time and advocates for entrepreneurs to find a balance between work and life to prevent burnout. (BRB as I arrange time off this August myself, haha).
  4. Appreciation for Fun: Despite her dedication to business, Charese also values fun and relaxation, evidenced by her plans to listen to Beyoncé’s album during her flight.
  5. Community Engagement: Beyond her professional endeavors, Charese is engaged with her community, providing valuable resources and guidance to aspiring entrepreneurs.
