LED fundamentals: leds are electronic devices that convert electrical energy directly into light energy. Leds consist of two semiconductor materials, an N-type semiconductor and a P-type semiconductor. When a forward voltage is applied to the LED, electrons jump from the N-type semiconductor region to the P-type semiconductor region, releasing energy and producing optical radiation. Energy saving features: Compared to traditional display technologies such as LCD (liquid crystal display) and CRT (cathode ray tube), LED displays have lower power consumption. This is mainly due to the high efficiency of LED energy conversion and energy utilization. LED displays activate only the required pixels, rather than requiring a backlight to illuminate the entire screen, as LCD displays do.

Backlight technology: Although leds themselves are self-luminous, backlight is still needed to provide overall illumination in LED displays. However, LED backlights are more energy efficient than traditional CCFLS (cold cathode fluorescent lamps). LED backlights can be adjusted in brightness and color as needed to achieve higher energy efficiency.

Dimming technology: Energy efficient LED displays can be adjusted to further reduce power consumption. Compared to traditional brightness control methods, such as PWM (pulse width modulation), LED displays can achieve higher energy efficiency through dynamic dimming technology. Dynamic dimming technology automatically adjusts the LED brightness level according to the brightness requirements of the display content, thus reducing unnecessary energy consumption.

Color control: LED displays enable high quality color control. By controlling the brightness and color mixing ratio of LED, you can accurately restore various colors. In contrast, traditional CRT and LCD displays require the use of color filters or liquid crystal layers to adjust the color, which consumes more energy.
