[Updated] JUNIOR POPE: Nollywood Actor is Confirmed Dead
The Nollywood favourite popular for his trademark action roles dies after initially surviving a boat mishap
According to a release by the President of the Actors Guild Nigeria (AGN), Mr Emeka Rollas, the actor passed on after having survived the accident.
Mr Pope Obumneme Odonwodo popularly known as Pope Junior could not make it at the hospital where he had been taken to.
The 39-year-old screen star was involved in a boat mishap which incident took place on their way back from a location somewhere in Delta State, South-South Nigeria where they had gone to shoot a movie .
The boat mishap was said to have occurred in the River Niger in a community in Anambra State of Nigeria.
Three other persons were also reportedly involved in the unfortunate accident. One has been confirmed dead as at the time of this report.
The popular Nigerian actor was born in Bamenda, Cameroon on May 7, 1984 but moved to Nigeria at a very young age.
