I’m finding some of the responses a little bemusing. Yes, okay, if I were playing editor I’d rearrange things here and there — but I suspect I’d find a way to keep the bits about “Alan Kay hired me personally” and “I started the Criterion Collection” near the top. Possibly followed by an image of dropping a microphone.

Seriously, if your response is but that’s not recent work experience; how can you expect anyone to hire you if it’s not clear you’re an expert in the latest JavaScript framework? you’re missing the larger picture. It seems to me the real conundrum might be finding an employer looking for a staff visionary; unfortunately, this doesn’t seem to be much of a thing in tech these days.
