The Professor sounds like a slavery apologist to me. Chattel slavery and two-parents homes is an oxymoron. Its only someone who has re-written history from a slavery apologist perspective who could possibly think that D is the right answer. Are you asserting that instituitional racism is imaginary ? And that all those who seek to eliminate is from the system are modern day black panthers ? The student did not have to prove anything, she questioned her assertion that majority of slaves had two parent homes.
