Whats the last thing you had a lot of fun doing? How much does that thing feature in your day to day today?
This very week last year I put together a newsletter and sent it out to friends near and far. I really loved collating all the bits I was finding interesting and putting the whole thing together. I was thinking about that today and wasn’t able to come up with a good reason for I hadn’t done another. So…
Current gems 💎
This Podcast [45 minutes] An interview with Sheryl Sandberg, COO of Facebook. Her CV is insane; Harvard, The World Bank, McKinsey, Google. I’ve read Lean In but I hadn’t heard her speak. I was expecting lots of polished snippets so I was surprised by how open and vulnerable she was willing to be here.
This Video [24 minutes] I adore the outdoors — anything involving mountains, hiking or water- the dream. Over the past four year going along to the BAMF Mountain film Festival has become something of a pilgrimage. My favourite film from last week is called Frozen Road. It’s about a young guy heading up through Canada to the Arctic Circle by bicycle. The temperature gets to -30C. I’m forever fascinated by people who disregard (or in Ben’s case perhaps don’t know) what’s normal, reasonable or rational and instead go off and discover where the limit is for them.
This App [AdobeCapture CC]
Last week I needed to apply a colour scheme to the mockups of a site i’m designing. A new app I found meant I could quickly generate a palette from an image my client had sent over as inspiration. If you don’t see an example to the right click display images at the top of this mail. It’s such a neat app for this kind of thing — lots of possibilities here. Thanks Adobe :)

This Music [2.36 minutes]
A friend of mine has an eight year old. He came home last week humming this piece after his music teacher used it to introduce the class to Classical.
And what an introduction!
What piece would you play if you had to do the same thing? I’d love to know.
Until next month…
Chloe
