Love this paragraph:

I often say to my students “perfection is unattainable.” It is a lofty ambiguous designation that is a concupiscent mirage in the distance. It is a place of fairy tales that will never be reached because it is conceptual and ego based, not empirical. Precision, accuracy, clarity of line, shape, thrust, torque, speed, tempo, negative space, positive space, et al. these are real and also variable. We have to be ok with that variability and move forward, making subtle tweaks along the way.
