Throughout this month, we[the class] have been learning a lot about analysis through stories, images, and specific usage of phrases/words that authors use. The subject of my choice is the game TFT (a game part of League of Legends). Team Fight Tactics is basically an auto chess battle game but you are playing with actual champions and upgrading them as you go. This game relates to our skateboarding video in terms of trial and error. In TFT, you start off building a pretty weak team and opponents might have a stronger advantage than you, but the more you play the more you get stronger. This can correlate to the skateboarding video as the professor has been skateboarding for years and has been trying to do this one trick for a very long time. Each time he does it, he gets closer and closer to actually landing it perfectly. This can also correlate to the Allegory of the Cave as regards to having a desire to learn to a greater extent.

During every season of TFT, Riot Games constantly changes out each character and give them different abilities, meaning that you have to adapt and relearn the game every other month. My experience with this is that I have had numerous trials and errors, and all I needed to do was to keep using each character and build up a pretty sturdy team for each game. Though it does take a while to adapt since players can use so many combinations of characters, this game can teach you how to break down your own walls and continue to succeed. This can apply to everyone in the matter of keeping trying and do not give up. People should be able to keep retrying until they get it right, do not give up under any circumstances (unless it is really necessary). Every time we fail, we get to reanalyze what we have done and have a better outcome in the next round.

Back to the Allegory of the Cave, the wall watchers were not going to succeed in life if they did not try new things. If people do not try to learn then they will never know how upstanding they will be. If you do not want to become a wall watcher, you should think about playing League of Legends (or not) to be the perfect trial and error(ist).
