Spongey soul

Try to think about your soul like a sponge. If you’re near clean water, chemicals, germs or apple juice, what do you soak up? You soak up what you can absorb. I mean that’s what a sponge does if you are unfamiliar.

Who you surround yourself with is so much more important than you think. Whether you like it or not, other people’s energy, negativity, problems and so forth, they all become yours. If you absorb yourself into negativity, you’re most likely going to become more negative. It is quite easy to get caught up in the spiral of life and even harder to get out.

I never used to be so worried about who I was surrounding myself with. I was the girl who was friends with everyone and could get along with all types of people.

I now have a very strict filtering system. I am at the point in my life where I would rather watch the grass grow than hang out with someone I don’t get good vibes from. I never used to see the importance with who you have around you, but my god it is so important. Sometimes there is situations that I can’t help this so I usually put on my invisible good vibe cloak and just go about life.

After a little bit of time you start to get good at knowing who you like and how to be kind to people who don’t quite fit your vibe-o-metre. I am never unkind to people existing outside my vibe-o-metre, but I do indeed protect my spongey soul.
