I can so relate to this torture! It was like a switch had been flipped and my body and mind wigged completely out almost overnight. Twelve years later the only lasting problems are the hot flashes and poor sleep. I may have other indications, but they aren’t as problematic as those two. But, you are spot on about the Peri-menopausal state often getting misdiagnosed. I thought I’d had a return to anxiety and depression in the five years before the switch flipped. Turns out it was PM not actual mood disorder. When a coworker had sudden panic attack like symptoms, I suggested she see her doc about possible hormonal issues — she did and they suggested HRT instead of mood medications. Such an important difference! Thanks for sharing.
