Insights into the number of the beast

Rev 13:16 And he causeth all, both small and great, rich and poor, free and bond, to receive a mark in their right hand, or in their foreheads:

Using Strong’s concordance, the ‘mark’ is a seal of servitude, whereas ‘in’ means to superimpose [place or lay (one thing) over another, typically so that both are still evident. — Oxford dictionary]

So we can gather that this may be a tattoo. But the Bible says the word tattoo in other places, Lev 19:28 Ye shall not make any cuttings in your flesh for the dead, nor print any marks upon you: I am the LORD.

So 666 is not a tattoo nor a microchip (which would obscure flesh).

Rev 13:17 And that no man might buy or sell, save he that had the mark, or the name of the beast, or the number of his name.

This further explains the ‘mark’. The mark is not the number ‘666’ itself. Rather, we are told a man may do trade, having the name of the Beast or the number of his name. Name, being probably ‘authority’.

And so the number representing the Beast’s authority, is the number which belongs to a man -yes just one fellow.

In the context of Revelations, we are urged to count the number, who hath wisdom of divine nature. No Christian seemed to prefer it kept secret, perhaps knowing it would emerge in good time.

666 = number of authority of Beast = number of a certain man.

DCLXVI is 666 rendered in Roman numerals.

Some conjecture, it is a certain man who gives authority to the Beast who has DAW.

The name Wei (威, 伟, 巍, etc.) is a masculine Chinese given name with multiple meanings, including “power,” “greatness,” “lofty,” or “towering”

De Kay — the pure [innocent]

A submission from Trinidad and Tobago says the name Aleex means “follower of christ”. — names.org

So we have: Great, the innocent follower of Jesus, since De Kay is a last name.

Now don’t expect a certain Wei A. de-Kay to exist, half Asian, half European. However expect the authority of the beast to be given him by a man in a high position, blameless and Christ-believing.

Francis couldn’t have died sooner. Are we saying the Pope is the unlocker of this prophecy? We dare not go so far. But it looks like it might be, inadvertently or otherwise.
