Tenaya Lake to Clouds Rest (Yosemite)

14.50 miles total (6 miles on first day). Leave var in Yosemite Valley and shuttle up to Tenaya. Can do it with an early Saturday start since first day mileage is short. Day two is longer mileage but all downhill, so we’ll have time to do some of the touristy Yosemite stuff Sunday afternoon.

4 hour drive to Yosemite

Point Reyes

Can realistically be anywhere between 2 and 15 miles for a weekend, but camping is overlooking the beach. There’s a coastal trail that we can go down as far as we’d like, but stuff like the first picture are more drive to the trailhead and hike a couple miles and back.

1 hour drive

Big Sur Day/Weekend

It’s decently close by to the city, so we can go down and do as much/little as we would like, whether is be a little hiking or just jumping out of the car at a couple of points. There are touristy campsites we could use if we want to spend the night, but they’ll go fast. Also this is where the goddamn Bixby Creek Bridge is, so we can listen to Death Cab For Cutie the entire drive.

3 hour drive

Mineral King Loop

27 mile loop in the Sequoia National Park, near Whitney Portal. It looks fucking epic, with lakey meadows and high sierra scrambling.

4 hour drive

Lost Coast Trail (3 Days)

Wild 27 mile coastal trail that requires timing around the tides. It’s lit, and wet.

4 hour drive

Rae Lakes Loop

Its only 47 miles fam. Right along the John Muir Trail in the High Sierra’s, but don’t worry, there will be grassy meadows with lakes.

oof, this ones 5 hours away though

Yosemite n Chill

Lots to do in Yosemite, because it’s like Yosemite. Taft Point, Sentinal Dome, Cloud’s Rest, Dewey Point, Tunnel View, Glacier Point. It will packed on a weekend in the summer, but June will probably be best time crowd wise.

Can try to get a campsite/lodge room if we want to spend two nights, but will be a bit pricey probably
