Chonky Shibas— in Depth Overview
What exactly are Chonky Shibas?
Chonky Shibas are a collection of 60 1/1 animated pixel art shiba inu NFTs that will eventually live forever on the Ethereum blockchain. Each Chonky Shiba is carefully handcrafted & animated, pixel by pixel. This is primarily an art-focused project, but I have dedicated 10% of mint proceeds to go towards animal charities that holders can decide & vote on, and will ensure that holders are rewarded in the future. The inspiration behind this project? — my very own shiba inu, Kiba, and my love for pixel art games such as Harvest Moon and Stardew Valley. 😊
My vision is to create an exceptional project that offers more than the average generative collection — by 100% hand-pixelating & animating every artistic aspect, delivering a compelling story that explores the Chonky Shibaverse and providing a sense of purpose of giving back to the community.

Specs & Traits
All Chonky Shibas are created at 64x64px and scaled up to 640x640px GIFs. Common tiers consist of 6 frames at 0.3s, however, Exotic and Legendary tiers may vary and can be comprised of up to 18+ frames.
Each Chonky Shiba will carry its own unique set of traits & personality, but rarities will be based on the 3 tier types.
Traits are as follows:
Rarity (Exotic, Legendary, Common)
Base Color (Red, Black, Sesame, etc.)
Eyes (Smiling Eyes, Anime Eyes, etc.)
Headwear (Cowboy Hat, Crown, etc.)
Clothing (Kimono, Hoodie, etc.)
Accessories (Glasses, Mask, etc.)
Weapon (Sword, Baseball Bat, etc.)
Personality (Egotistical, High-spirited, etc.)
First adopters of Chonky Shibas will also receive a complimentary 450x450px png PFP version in the unlockable content.
Rarity Levels
There are a total of 3 rarity levels: Exotic, Legendary and Common. Below is a breakdown of the percentage of rarities (an estimate, may change slightly as project progresses) that the collection will consist of.

Common | (73%)
Common tiers are inspired by common character archetypes. These can include a mad scientist, a competitive basketball player, or just a hardworking farmer. Commons will feature basic, flat background designs.
Examples:
Legendaries will be a representation of notable characters from pop-culture, such as video games & anime. Legendary backgrounds will be unique and have some kind of connection to the character’s origins, and may feature special animation effects.

Exotics are the highest tier as they feature original characters personalized by me. These will include special, animated landscape-type backgrounds with a considerable amount of detail and will be very distinct from the others to emphasize the rarity of the Exotics.

What can I do with a Chonky Shiba?
Adopting a Chonky Shiba from the collection means that you are the only person in the world to own it. Every adopted Shiba will be a step towards helping animals in need. You can collect them like trading cards, sell it, trade it, use it as a PFP, hold it for future rewards… anything! Or just keep it because it’s cute, that’s totally fine.
As a holder, you will be able to community-nominate & vote for animal charities/shelters that accept ETH donations in the upcoming Discord server.
Pricing
Early adopters receive the benefit of reduced prices, as price is to be increased through phases. Prices will vary by rarity.
1st Phase (20/60 minted):
- Common: 0.02 ETH
- Legendary: 0.03 ETH
- Exotic: 0.04 ETH
2nd & 3rd Phase prices will be announced as project progresses…
When is the Launch Date?
The launch date is planned for Q1 2022. A specific date will be announced closer to the release. There will be no WL spots or pre-sale, only public mint.
