Go is… interesting. I’ll grant that. I’m sick of hearing how modern and new it is. It isn’t. I’m sick of hearing how easy (as in, intuitive) it is. It isn’t. Go isn’t anything new. Nor is it anything particularly overwhelming in features. It’s barely even iterative. It’s just Google doing what Google does; yet another take on a thing that changes a few things and makes a few things more cryptic under the guise of making them better. Go, like the “new” Google, exists in parallel to and is far more annoying and difficult for simple things than many of its competitors.
