Do Nothing Day

Woke up this morning with a thought: The world definitely needs a “do nothing day”. To remind everybody that life is not about making, doing and being productive. Sounds great. Go ahead. Initiate it. But what is an idea that nobody ever heard of. You´re lucky — as spreading the word is easy nowadays. Start with a small microblog. And a website. The website needs an email list. And of course you need to show visibility on all relevant and irrelevant social media platforms. Your Facebook Page should be your top priority. That will keep you busy for a while.

But wait — did I mention all the requests you get that you need to answer as well? You should hire some people. Or just ride on your maniac high and promote the idea. So much work! You guessed already where this is heading to: burnout. But no worries. Just handle it as everybody does in that situation: write a book on how you got over your burnout. And get some speaking gigs about the topic (and to promote your book) at conferences. The gigs get more and more frequents so you should hire somebody…

I´ll stop here. Good news though: Somebody already invented the Do Nothing day.

So there is no need to do anything.
