Gender gender, What is gender?

Sometimes I read text blindly and ask myself is this a woman or a man writing.

It is always in the detail and the style. Of course, I know this is all female: first the woman and then the woman imagining what she wants the man to be thinking.

But how. I might have been more confused if the man's part was written first.
Victorian novelists published under a man's name because they had to.
“Heathcliff, Heathcliffe….”

There it is. The man unaware of what he is missing.

And it is true. Men notice less detail. They can fail to notice until it is too late.
They hurt when it is too late, Women hurt when things are slipping away in front of them.

Very tender poem. Not suggesting you change it.
