Thank you, Shandy, for the kind comments and the confirmation. It is frustrating to defend your design sometimes. But, I find it usually makes the design better. I get so close to a design I can’t see the faults in it. And as I write in the article, if I think it’s great, it usually isn’t. If you work with a good UX team, that is the best place to start when vetting a design.
