Interesting counterpoint and, as with a lot of things, there are obvious exceptions to the generalizations I make. To your point re To Kill A Mockingbird…I was never a fan of it. Which I know is a deeply controversial opinion, but whatever. I get the appeal of Rand in theory, I just don’t think it works in practice. I look at things like farm subsidies, governments trying to freeze out renewable energy, the list goes on.
