Sure, but there are far more important matters at hand than the freedom to drink alcohol that would never come about or been severely delayed without Constitutional change — civil rights, being the main one. Social progress already occurs at a snail’s pace. Without several amendments to the Constitution, I severely doubt progress on civil rights would be where it is in 2017.
That’s just one example. And it’s not limited to social progress. Updates to Constitutional Amendments, such as The 2nd, are also necessary considering vast changes in technology and the population. Muskets don’t equal an AR-15, we have population density The Founding Fathers never envisioned, and a diversity of cultures not present during The Revolution.
