Swiiiing and a miss…actually, I’m 47 and Irish--old enough to know about how it was for these groups. But these are ethnic groups. Discrimination was not based on race, but ethnicity. Italians were considered “honorary White people” by the 1970s. Us Irish went through a lot of discrimination by other Whites much longer ago. But the legacy of how it affects us in the present day is minimal compared to other racial groups. I have no need for reparations, thank you.
White people are not racist toward White people. We may discriminate against each other based upon ethnicity, religion, or a number of other factors concerning one’s identity. But not by race.
