You’re right that paging alpha1 doesn’t drop data — wanted to get that in, but wasn’t able to for the first alpha. Will be added in the future, and the in-memory max count will be configurable.

And the 10–20 item count was meant as a low example, for an app with very large item views to contrast against the potentially hundreds of rows that might fill a window. There’s a lot of tradeoff to discuss there, in terms of optimizing throughput vs latency+memory — will likely end up in the paging docs.
